Indonesia’s New Model BIT, the ACIA and Commercial Arbitration: Managing Risks

On 8 August 2016, Universitas Pelita Harapan Center for International Trade & Investment (UPH-CITI) organized a seminar on “Indonesia’s New Model BIT, the ACIA and Commercial Arbitration: Managing Risks”. The distinguished speaker, Junianto James Losari, a lawyer at Allen & Overy in Singapore, discussed Indonesia’s significant shift in international investment law, particularly the government’s decision to discontinue older bilateral investment treaties (BITs)  and draft a new model of BIT to be used in future renegotiations.
