On 3 May, 2016, Universitas Pelita Harapan Center for International Trade & Investment (UPH-CITI) along with WTO Chair Programme, and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), conducted a seminar titled “A Bridge Too Far? Sceptical ruminations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP)”. The seminar critically examined the TTP as one of the ambitious contemporary mega-regional trade agreements. The discussion explored whether the agreement’s trade policy framework is realistically aligned with its objectives and timelines. The panel featured a panel of distinguished speakers: Pierre Sauvé, Director of External Programmes and Academic Partnership of the University of Bern, and Lurong Chen, an Economist of the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN.
