Disabling Labelling? Exploring The WTO Compliance of the Mandatory Halal Labelling Law in Indonesia

On 18 February 2016, Universitas Pelita Harapan Center for International Trade & Investment (UPH-CITI) conducted a seminar on whether Indonesia’s 2014 Halal Product Assurance Act aligns with its obligations under WTO law, particularly the Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Agreement. The seminar, “Disabling Labelling? Exploring The WTO Compliance of the Mandatory Halal Labelling Law in Indonesia”, featured a panel of distinguished speakers: Michelle Limenta, Director of UPH-CTI, Bayan Edis, Visiting Researcher of UPH-CITI, and Oscar Fernando, Research Associate of UPH-CITI.
